All three teams (Varsity/JV/JH) will be attending Cooperstown, NY and the Baseball Hall of Fame to play Voorhees (NJ) High School on May 1 and 2, 2022.
Games have been set and approved by the Village of Cooperstown, NY for 5pm Sunday May 1st and 10 am and 1:30pm on Monday May 2. These times have been set and have not changed since EASD Board approval. A shift had to be made to our travel dates due to the EASD Wall of Fame Banquet being held on Sat. evening April 30 and several of our coaches are involved on the committee and a former player is being inducted into that WOF that evening. This is a school district function encompassing all of our athletics and not a baseball banquet. Originally that banquet was in question due to Covid concerns but has now been allowed to go forward causing the shift in travel. Parents wishing to attend and see their children play at Cooperstown should expect that the games will remain the same according to the times listed above. All games will be completed by 4pm Monday and do not require a stay by parents into Tuesday. Any parent wishing to take their child home may do so on Monday. The Easton teams will travel back Tuesday morning into early afternoon.
Players will have the opportunity to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame on Monday during the day and evening. All games are played on the historic Doubleday Field!
The Easton Baseball Booster Club has paid for the games with the Voorhees School Boosters at a cost of $1500. Specific Information about hotels arrangements for players are being worked on and should be set by next week.
Any questions regarding this trip should be directed to Coach LaDuca at
[email protected]
Future correspondence will be sent with players within two weeks prior to the trip. Players should also listen to their coaches for updates and share that information with parents when applicable.
